Measurements

In order to make the best garments possible, Indochino uses your body measurements to create a completely made to measure suit that's meant to fit. We guide you through our online measurement process step-by-step with easy to follow videos. It only takes 10 minutes and can be done from the comfort of your own home. You don't need a tailor, only a good friend. Don't have a tape measure? Get one here.

You'll be prompted to get measured once you're ready to checkout — after choosing from a full selection of suits, shirts and outerwear and customizing the details to match your style.

Once your order is placed, one of our Master Tailors will take your body measurements and create a made to measure garment just for you.

• Do I need a tailor to take my measurements?

  Not at all. It’s simple. Take measures into your hands with our handy instructions.

• Can I use the measurements from a suit I own?

  Afraid not. We need your actual body measurements.

• Where do I get a tape measure?

  We’ve got you covered. Consider it your Indochino merit badge.

• How do I ensure my measurements are accurate?

  Follow our handy instructions and you can’t go wrong. That said, there’s a chance some of your garments won’t fit the way you want right out of the box; minor alterations might be needed. If that’s the case, we’ll cover the cost. We want to make sure you’re happy, so it’s a breeze if you order again in the future.

• Why are my measurements listed online different to what I originally submitted?

  Confusing, right? Let us explain. Our fancy computer system takes the body measurements you give us and converts them into clothing measurements, which is what you’re seeing. You body measurements are the baseline. If we need to adjust your sizing, we tweak your garment measurements. Unless you like your clothes literally skin tight, you’ll be glad we do it this way.

• The numbers listed online are not the same as the measurements for my “off the rack” clothing. Is this a mistake?

  No mistake. Off the rack sizing actually varies a lot. Welcome to the world of made to measure. Sizing as you know it is about to change.

• Can I see my body measurements in my account profile?

  You can only view your garment measurements in your account. If you need to change your body measurements for any reason, give us a call at 1 (855) 334-0788.

• Can I change the body measurements in my account profile?

  Changing your body measurements can be risky, so we’d like to talk to you about it first. Please give us a call at 1 (855) 334-0788.

• Can I have multiple measurements on one profile?

  Is that you, Bruce Banner? If you’re the Incredible Hulk, we can work something out. Otherwise, typically no.

• Why was I contacted to redo certain measurements?

  Our fancy computer system can predict a measurement range based on your age, height, and weight. It sure beats astrology and phrenology, but it’s still not an exact science. If any of your measurements look off, we just want you to double-check them.

• Do you make clothing for women?

  In a word, yes, we make suits for women; however, our styles and patterning process are primarily designed to flatter the typical man’s build. Our suit cuts and designs may not be specific for women’s bodies, but we can customize our suits in some ways to try and make them a better fit for you. We have had some very satisfied female customers who are looking for a more masculine fit.

• I haven’t placed an order yet. How do I review my measurements?
