Indochino — the Pioneer in Custom Men’s Suits and Shirts — to Open Newbury Street Location
BOSTON, MA - Indochino, the global pioneer in custom menswear, is opening its first New England showroom at 85 Newbury Street in Boston on July 23, 2015. The showroom enables men looking to express their individuality to choose from the latest suiting designs and endless customization options to create one-of-a-kind suits and shirts. Appointments can be scheduled at www.indochino.com/boston.
Indochino is leading the suit revolution and helping men to dress their best every day by offering personally designed, perfectly fitting suits and shirts at an incredible value. Custom suits start at $449 and shirts from $79, and everyone who buys a full priced suit at the Boston location before August 30, 2015, will receive a free wrinkle free shirt worth $79.
Indochino is at the forefront of a wave of web-first retailers opening brick-and-mortar stores and the showroom enables men to shop the brand in person. It is an evolution of Indochino’s popular Traveling Tailor pop-up shops, which opened in 18 cities across North America, including Boston in 2013.
Indochino co-founder and CEO, Kyle Vucko, says, “Our pop-up shop was a runaway success and we’ve been keeping a sharp eye out for a brick-and-mortar location in Boston ever since we decided to move into permanent retail. 85 Newbury Street in the Back Bay could not be a better ‘fit’ for us! We see a great future in the city and are confident we will inspire Bostonians to dress their best every day.”
Over the past year, Indochino has opened retail locations in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, San Francisco and Philadelphia. Boston is the fourth US location and sixth in North America, and the brand plans to reach ten stores by the end of the year.
FABRICS, STITCHES, BUTTONS & MORE
Indochino’s unique process allows men to choose from an endless possibility of suit styles and ensures that men will always look their best.
Every garment is made to a person’s exact measurements, so searching for a suit that fits straight off-the-rack is a thing of the past. More than 30 complimentary suit customizations and over 20 shirt customizations are available, including buttons, vents, pockets, lapels and monograms.
The opening of the Boston Showroom coincides with the launch of its Fall 2015 Collection of suits, shirts, separates and accessories, which will be on display in the showroom.
HOW THE SHOWROOM WORKS
Indochino continues to shake up the brick-and-mortar landscape with its omni-channel approach to retail, geared toward the modern male shopper. The showroom operates hand in hand with the online store to ensure that customers have a streamlined experience whether they are visiting the showroom or shopping from home.
Customers work individually with an Indochino Style Guide who assists them with measurements and suit design options. The finished garment is delivered in approximately four weeks and customers return for a second fitting to make sure the suit or shirt fits perfectly. The custom suiting process is risk free: Indochino covers the cost of alterations; will remake the garment for free; or offer a full refund.
ABOUT THE BOSTON SHOWROOM
The Boston showroom is located in the city’s premier shopping street and is the first US location to feature Indochino’s new showroom design, created by Director of Visual Merchandising and Store Design, Dean Handspiker.
Fabric panels hang throughout the bright space. Mannequin clusters showcase the top suiting designs and endless customization options. Tables with marble, glass and walnut finishes are devoted to iMac working stations, shirting options and accessories. When they are not shopping, guests can relax in the lounge area.
